Use Tips

Grip Wing Thing along its middle between the two wing loops.

Wing Thing is powerful. You need to apply only a small amount of force when using it. So, shorten up your leverage to avoid overtightening.

Place one of Wing Thing’s wing loops over wingnut, and center.

One of the wing loops will best fit the wingnut you encounter on any modern drum hardware brands. Align and center the nut inside the loop.

Pull back gently on Wing Thing.

This will nestle the wingnut inside Wing Thing’s thin, patent-pending tip offering balance and stability.

Push Wing Thing down and left to tighten wingnut.

A small “nudge” is all you need. Rotate wingnut gently to avoid overtightening.

Pull Wing Thing up and right to loosen wingnut.

When loosening a wingnut, it’s okay to slide your hand down the tool’s shaft toward the opposite wing loop to gain additional leverage and release a particularly snug connection.
